Enable SPF & DKIM in cPanel

What is SPF and DKIM?

SPF and DKIM are both email authentication to improve email deliverability. Sender Policy Framework (SPF) allows email senders to define which IP addresses are allowed to send mail for a particular domain while DomainKeys Identified Mall (DKIM) provides an encryption key and digital signature that verifies that an email message was not forged or altered.

How to Enable SPF and DKIM in cPAnel

Follow the steps below on how your cPanel web hosting account can enable your DKIM & SPF records. You want to always ensure that the correct SPF records that are activated on your domain. The validity of the messages sent can thus be improved. To begin with:

  1. Firstly, locate and click on the “Authentication” icon in the cPanel.
  1. Secondly, you will see the following similar options. However if these are disabled, you will want to click “Enable” for both the SPF option and the DKIM option.
  1. After that, once both options are enabled, they will appear in your raw SPF record. “Enabled” will be displayed under the value “Your current raw SPF record”.
